Once upon a time, in the early 90’s, I began making my own food bars for skiing at the Jackson Hole Ski Resort. Stopping to buy lunch is not an option for the ski bum lifestyle. So, while waiting in long Tram lines, we would pull out our own lunch options from our jacket pockets, mine being the ever so coveted “Tram Bar.”

Over the years my recipe has evolved into a better tasting, more nutritious bar, with a variety of flavors and textures. No two bites are the same. The worthy size of the Tram Bar directly relates to the largeness of our play here in the Tetons.

I owe my growth and the necessity of using organic foods to Cosmic Apple Gardens, a biodynamic organic farm located in Victor, Idaho, for whom I have worked for many years. Through repeated coaxing from friends and farm workers, they have finally hit the shelves.
